The spotlight is shining on the new edition of Vinitaly, the International Wine and Spirits Exhibition that has been held every year at the Verona Exhibition Centre since 1967. This year, in particular, the event marks the return to normality, which in recent years has been a real goal to be achieved by everyone, through the gradual resumption of activities in the presence of the public and operators.

The great food and wine heritage of our territory is the undisputed protagonist of the event held on Friday 18 March on the terrace of the Grande Albergo Roma. Colli Piacentini DOC, da noi la vita si sorseggia (The hills of Piacenza, where life is sipped) was addressed to a large audience of guests with the aim of conveying the profound value of our DOC products, not only in terms of undisputed quality but also in terms of their inseparable link with the territory and its ancient traditions, which makes them unique products in their distinctive features.

Pianello is preparing to host the fourth stage of the Valtidone Wine Fest 2021. The event, scheduled for last Sunday, 26 September, has been postponed, due to bad weather, to Sunday, 3 October, and will close the 12th edition of the event that aims to enhance and promote the wines and typical products of our territory.

The Valtidone Wine Fest 2021, the event created to promote the wines and typical products of our territory, will be held for the fourth time on Sunday 26 September in Pianello. As per tradition, it will be joined by the Sagra Patronale di San Maurizio and Pianello Frizzante.

DOCs and IGTs protect histories, territories, knowledge: they are precious tools for wine growers and winemakers. However, like every instrument created by man, they too may need maintenance to bring them up to date with the needs of new times, in order to seize new and better opportunities.

People have always talked about the Colli Piacentini, its natural wonders and its DOC wines. The question today is: do we talk about them in the best, most up-to-date and most useful way?
