On Saturday, May 20, as part of the Festival of Malvasia, the conference "The Myth of Malvasia: the development potential of a growing network and spillovers to the local area"will be held at Rocca Sanvitale in Sala Baganza from 10:15 a.m.
Recent years have seen a growing interest around Malvasia thanks to the careful work of the producers, who have exalted its characteristics and quality, the Consortia and the Strade Enogastronomiche, which are responsible for its protection and enhancement, contributing to the growth of food and wine tourism in Emilia, the heart of the Food Valley.
Butwhat does this grape variety represent for our area? What are its characteristics and potential? How can it be best enhanced? What are the spin-offs and developments at the local level? These are the topics of the conference that will also be attended by the President of our Consortium Marco Profumo and Stefano Pizzamiglio of La Tosa winery .

On Monday,May 22, at 3 p.m., at Confesercenti Piacenza, the second meeting reserved for restaurateurs in Piacenza and province will be held for a technical tasting conducted by a professional sommelier of four Malvasia wines and an evaluation of the opportunity to create a network of "Ambassadors."
