The first previews of the important appointments marking the participation of the Consortium at Vinitaly 2022

The spotlight is on the new edition of Vinitaly, the International Wine and Spirits Exhibition that has been held every year at the Verona Exhibition Centre since 1967.

And this year in particular, the event will mark the return to normality, which in recent years has been a real goal for everyone to regain, through the gradual resumption of activities in presence in contact with the public and operators.

"Itis with these words that Patrizio Campana, head of the Consortium's Communication Commission , confirms the Consortium's presence at the 54th edition of the event : "despite the difficulties linked to the pandemic, 2021 was an important turning point for us. We wanted to renew the appearance of the Consortium through a new communication plan that aims to give value to our territory and its precious resources. "Colli Piacentini DOC, with us life is sipped". is the message that encapsulates the profound essence of a land where every experience is the expression of a long tradition and the constant work of man in respect of what the land offers. And our wines are the perfect synthesis of the value aspects that characterise the territory".

The new communication - which is part of the project presented by the Consortium on the 2014-2020 RDP and for which it obtained a contribution from the Emilia Romagna region - gives a central role to the members, the beating engine and essential element for promoting the territory and its certified quality wine production.

The Consortium's presence will be noticed and this year, more than ever, it will pay tribute to the commitment and dedication of all its members.

An area of about 60m2, shared with the Consorzio Tutela Vini DOP Colli di Parma and Gal del Ducato, seals the important synergy that the three institutions have created to support and promote cross-cutting initiatives with an international scope.

"This decision has an objective that transcends territorial boundaries and is rooted in the undisputed value of the enogastronomic heritage of the Parma and Piacenza area, but not only," said President Marco Profumo, introducing the leitmotif of the important sharing that marks participation in Vinitaly 2022 .With us, life is sipped". we will help accompany visitors on an unusual journey that will tell the story of the myth of Malvasia as part of a transnational cooperation project involving Gal Parnonas, Gal del Ducato and Gal dell'Istria Centrale.

A veritable tasting path will involve Malvasia proposals from the Colli di Piacenza and Parma, Istria and Monemvasia, the Greek city from which Malvasia takes its name, in a masterclass scheduled for 11 April in the Soppalco room in Hall 1.

But that's not all. Wine production in the area will also take part in the event on Tuesday 12, when the Strade dei Vini e dei Sapori di Emilia (Wine and Food Trails of Emilia) in collaboration with Visit Emilia will propose the Emilia Wine Experience, a new opportunity to enhance the wine and food heritage of the entire Emilia area.

The Consortium's participation will be an important opportunity to give voice to all Piacenza's DOC productions. Inside the stand there will be a Consortium tasting desk where the wines of members Casa Benna di Castell'Arquato, Marengoni di Ponte dell'Olio, La Tollara di Alseno, Loschi Enrico di Bacedasco, Tenuta Pernice di Borgonovo V.T. and Cantina di Vicobarone di Ziano P.no. will be presented.

Campana srl of Carpaneto P.no and Mossi1558 of Ziano P.no will be present with their own stands in the area.

A four-day event packed with events and initiatives for the Consortium, which will give voice to the special features of the various production areas in the Piacenza area through informative and educational tastings that will take place throughout the event and will bring together Associations, Institutions and Consortia with a view to promoting the unique wine tourism heritage of our land.
