D.M. 15487 of 01/03/2016 - Determination of the criteria and modalities for the granting of contributions concerning initiatives aimed at developing information actions to improve knowledge, promote dissemination, ensure the safeguard and support the development of agricultural products and foodstuffs marked by EU recognition, pursuant to Regulation (EU) No. 1151/2012, Regulation (EU) No. 1308/2013 of Regulation (EC) No. 607/2009.

Description

The Consorzio Tutela Vini Doc Colli Piacentini presented in the year 2022 a project falling under the Letter B initiatives of the Ministerial Decree 15487 of 01/03/2016 "initiatives to ensure the safeguard and support the development of PDO and PGI products" through the activity of:

  • Vocational training and skill acquisition and demonstration activities in compliance with the provisions contained in Article 21 of Regulation (EU) No. 702/2014 and Article 31 of Regulation (EU) No. 651/2014.

Ministerial Decree 15487/2016 aims among its general objectives to:

  • Develop actions in information and dissemination to improve communication on the origin, properties, characteristics and quality of products marked with the U.E. recognition;
  • Support actions for the development of PDO and PGI products;
  • Develop market monitoring actions to verify the correct use of Doc and PGI product names;
  • Encourage actions that ensure adequate legal protection for Doc and PGI products.

Specifically, in keeping with the objectives of safeguarding and supporting the development of PDO and PGI products, the project envisages the implementation of specific training and skills acquisition activities aimed at students in scientifically-oriented upper secondary schools, in order to provide qualified bases aimed at structuring awareness of the value of PDO-labeled products by a highly significant age group in terms of the importance of passing on information about the knowledge and consumption choices of European certified quality products and the conscious consumption of the product.
