The character of our grapes directly in your glass!

Our Ancestral Tasting proposal includes two wines to choose from the 11 qualities we produce, accompanied by the excellent products of our small territory straddling the Piacentine and Parmesan Valleys.

Wines made by the ancestral method contain no added sulfites and are the natural product of the fermentation of our grapes. That is why they are always different!

Among the qualities on offer are traditional Piacenza wines such as Gutturnio and Ortrugo, pure Barbera and Bonarda grapes or the Monterosso Val d'Arda blend.
And then Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and the Santa Maria, a wine made from ancient and indigenous grapes.

The tasting is enriched with a sampling of our most precious wine, the result of the centuries-old tradition linked precisely to the cellars of Vigoleno Castle: its Vin Santo, one of Italy's smallest doc wines, with a very limited production: ancient and indigenous grapes, long and manual processing, long aging in vassels.


Vin Santo di Vigoleno, a passito and aged wine, is counted among the most special meditation wines.

We are waiting for you to share an immersive experience just a stone's throw from Vigoleno Castle in the municipality of Vernasca in Val d'Arda.

You can choose whether to taste our wines inside the winery or on the panoramic terrace that overlooks the early Colli Piacentini and provides a striking view of the winery's vineyards and the plain. On the clearest days the view becomes nothing short of spectacular showing the Alpine arc crowning the landscape.

Cantina Visconti, one of the few wineries that maintains and protects a very ancient tradition, has been producing since 1960 a product that at the time was considered by the Capuchin friars who lived in Vigoleno to be medicinal, a wine for blessing: the Vin Santo di Vigoleno. A unique product, considered the smallest protected designation of origin (P.D.O.) in Italy and one of the most renowned in the world.
